It's been a week since the Vancouver Canucks were defeated by the Boston Bruins in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals. It was pretty heartbreaking as a fan and quite frankly, I'm still unhappy with the result.
But, that's the way sports is: there's a winner and loser. And unfortunately for the Canucks and their fans, they didn't win.
I think Canucks fans need to realise that it wasn't a given that the Canucks were going to win. That's why they play the games. And also, if was easy to win, it wouldn't be as revered as it is.
But after a week, I look back on the 2010-2011 NHL season and can say that I witnessed the best regular season in Canucks history. As well, the individual accomplishments and excellent hockey were a treat all season. So as a fan, you've got to be happy about that.
Bring on 2011-2012!
